Card Check Takes Privacy, Power and Voice Away From America's Working People
JOIN Floridians for a democratic workplace today!

In March of 2007, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 800, the so called "Employee Free Choice Act," better known as the "Card Check" bill, by a vote of 241-185. In June, the Senate, by a largely party line vote of 51 to 48 and following days of spirited debate, voted to protect the rights of America's workers by defeating this ill-conceived legislation. But that was 2007 and while that victory was important, our fight continues and is far from over as organized labor and their friends in Washington have made stripping American workers of their right to a private ballot their number one legislative priority.

Floridian’s for a Democratic Workplace intends to continue this fight when congress reconvenes after the start of the year. This bill will come back, and with your support, Floridian’s for a Democratic Workplace will be there to help defeat it again. We hope you will join Floridian’s for a Democratic Workplace so that we may continue to count on the support of grassroots members in the fight to defeat this anti-worker legislation.
